Emil and I have been planning for a long time to start a blog so we can remember our life events. What a good way to start one with this entry. Haha. It wasn't very funny when this had happened to us. Until now, I am clueless how it did and can't imagine that it really did happen. We were driving on Kaawa on our way home after a long day of wedding shopping when this lady by the name of Dawn suddenly went into our lane and hit us head on. Everything happened so fast that all I can remember was a bright light infront of us that wasn't supposed to be there. I remembered Emil shouting "Oh my gosh!" so I looked at him and bam! That was it. Half of my face was bruised just because of the airbag and some body bruises due to the seatbelt that I was wearing. I had never been so thankful of airbags and seat belts before. 
There were so many people who were trying to help us including locals and tourists. I was surprised to see a familiar face, Champ's, trying to pull Emil out of the car but they couldn't since he was pinned. Despite the pain that he was feeling, he told the guys helping him out to "Get Ira first! Get Ira first!" so Champ came to my side and pulled me out. He brought me to his car and I called Phoebe. I still had her number memorized so I thought I was still doing ok. I went back to Emil and they strapped both of us to gurney and had the worst 15 minute drive of our lives. We were having pains not because of the accident but because of how they strapped our necks to the gurney. I was released an hour after admission at the emergency room but Emil stayed for almost an entire week at the Queen's.
