Tater Tots Day

Emil found an event on Facebook about the Tater tots day happening in SoMa yesterday so we decided that will be our weekend thing after donating blood at church.

I was so proud of Emil bec if you didn't know, he easily gets queasy with just the thought of blood OR needles and donating blood involved the two! I suggested that he think of the people he can help when he will do it and after a few back and forth, he agreed. It was a success!

We were so hungry so right after the blood donation, we went straight to SoMa from Pacifica. It was a really packed event and was so crowded but we will persist anything in the name of tater tots! and any other 'potato food' in my case.

I looked up a food truck on Yelp in advance to check out what they had and got really excited and when we got there, the line was suuuuppppeeeerrrr long but we decided we will try it anyway. When we got to the front, they told us it's going to be another half an hour wait, added to the fact that half of their menu is sold out by the time we got there.
It was really disappointing that we had to reach the front before they told us. I was really hangry (hungry+angry) by this time plus I was experiencing the worst cramps and wanted them to hear a piece of me but... it was almost Sunday so I decided not to. I thought of things like leaving a nasty review on their Yelp, naming them on this blog etc. but since I am a nice person, I decided not to. haha ;)

So we ended up trying Hula Truck instead. It was a mixture of Hawaiian and Filipino food so why not?

Maori, Pinoy, Hawaiian, Rasta prints all over the truck

My tater tots with Tocino, cheese and their Hula Sauce
and since I love Sriracha, I got a side of their mango Sriracha. so good!

Emil's was similar to mine except his had the Kalua pork

As we sat, we realized it was the last 5 minutes of the Warriors vs 76ers game so after we finished eating, we stayed to catch the last parts of the game. I know the video didn't focus on the people since they were all strangers anyway but I wanted to capture the energy while we were watching. Plus, the guy behind Emil was so drunk (at 4pm!) and was doing silly things so I tried to cut him as much as possible. We sat down in time for Barne's winning shot. It was the last 20 secs, it was tied, and he did this:

hence the reaction above. ;)
